Wesley Bennett joined the CREC team in late September 2018, shortly after relocating to San Diego from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Originally from Houston, Texas, he earned his B.A. in 2010 in History and Classical Studies at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, before pursuing graduate studies in Near Eastern and Classical Archaeology at Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

Wesley earned his M.A. in 2013 and studied abroad at the American School of Classical Studies in Athens as a Regular Member during the 2014-15 academic year. After returning to the U.S., Wesley left academia to pursue a career in commercial GIS, where he is using  his interests and skills in spatial analysis to build the future of cannabis maps and software.
